How are we different from a general contractor?

We focus on elements like space planning and traffic patterns, color and material coordination, and creating a cohesive look that reflects the client’s style and needs. Our goal is to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of your spaces.
In contrast, a general contractor manages the physical work involved, including coordinating subcontractors, ensuring building codes and safety regulations are met, and handling project logistics. Their role is to execute the design plans and ensure that the construction is completed correctly and on schedule.

When is the right time to get a designer involved?
At the very beginning of your project! Engaging a designer early allows us to help shape the vision, plan the layout, and select materials from the start, ensuring a unified and effectively implemented design. Early involvement also helps you develop a budget, avoid costly mistakes and revisions, streamline the process, and maximize the overall success of the project.
How does pricing work with our services?
Prices are broken down by individual phase. Our in-home consultations (phase 1) are charged as a flat fee. Our drawings (phase 2) and project support (phase 3) packages vary by project.
Can you do some but not all phases?
You can pause after each phase if needed, but the phases must follow the intended sequence, as they build upon previous phases to ensure a seamless workflow and successful outcome.
What if I already have a general contractor?
If you already have a general contractor, that's great! We’re always open to building new connections and collaborating with your existing team.
What is our design style?
Our personal design style is secondary to your unique vision. We focus on creating spaces that reflect your individual tastes and needs, ensuring that the design is tailored specifically to you. Our goal is to enhance your ideas, not impose our own style.
Are we compensated by any showroom or vendors we use?
No, we are not compensated by any showrooms or vendors we use. This ensures that our suggestions are entirely unbiased and focused solely on what's best for you, so you can be confident that our recommendations are not influenced by outside incentives.
